I know I can fall into the uncanny valley a little when I’m reading the comments in these videos, but this one gets my attention because it’s a great example of how to get the viewer to look at your work. I mean, if you’re trying to get someone to look at something, you’ll probably want to make it look cool and important.
I mean its only a matter of time before I start saying, “I hope that if I get this meme I can get a video clip of them doing this”, or maybe “I hope I can get the video to show a clip of them playing this song”.
The first time I saw this meme the only thing that came to mind was a video of someone playing a note on their guitar and then saying something like, “If you want me to play it for you, it must mean that it is the greatest thing I’ve ever played”. I mean, I get it, but if you look at the video and look at the song, youcan see that it doesn’t have that meaning.
What makes this meme so funny is that it has nothing to do with the song. It’s just a video showing a clip of someone playing a guitar, and someone saying something along the lines of, If you want me to play it, you must mean that it is the greatest thing Ive ever done. So clearly the song came out right before the video.
