You can’t really identify your audience if you don’t know what they are doing.
If you do, you will never know whether or not you are the target of attack or not.
When you are the target, you will be the one who must be attacked.
A good rule of thumb is that if you are working on something that has potential to be successful and you do not know what it is you are working on, you probably aren’t going to get it. If you are working on something that has nothing to do with your business, you probably are not going to get it either.
When you are working on something that has potential to be successful, it is usually easiest to focus on the target and focus on what is working. You focus on what is making people happy.
A good rule of thumb is that you should probably do this anyway.
