One of the first things I do when I create a new website is to create a twitter account. I am not sure why. Maybe it is to help me get some ideas for new websites. I have never met a single person who doesn’t like twitter. It makes me feel like a weirdo, it is one of those things that makes me feel like a weirdo.

I can also see the replies to my tweets in a timeline for every tweet, so I can see what people are responding to. And I can easily take action on responses, even if they are just “thanks” or “sorry.
I use twitter to make real friends too. There are a lot of people who are active on the web via twitter. Some are very involved in the community, and some are just active. The first is the kind of people I tend to follow. They are probably the most active on twitter.

These are the people I tend to follow most. They are pretty easy to spot because they’re active on twitter a lot. Another easy way to track them is to use their twitter search to see what they are talking about.

Top rank twitter is often used as a proxy for popularity. However, it is important to note that they do not have the power to manipulate search ranking or traffic. They are not going to gain any popularity by making a bunch of tweets which appear to people on the internet to be a bunch of crap. They are not going to gain any traffic by getting thousands of people to retweet their tweets.
Active is not necessarily a bad thing. It just means that they are active on twitter. They are also often used as a proxy for popularity. It doesn’t mean that they are popular.
