To begin the process of developing self-awareness, we must first begin with content. Content is the foundation for self-awareness. It is the essence of self-awareness because it helps people recognize their own thoughts and reactions. Organizations can be hard to quantify because they have to be “good.” I mean, if you are self-aware and you are not organized well, it may be a good thing you are self-aware but not organized well.

It’s also hard to quantify style because it can be subjective. A good style can be hard to identify. So for example, I’ve been known to write “That is so sad!” instead of “That is so sad!” because I’m not an especially good writer.

In another sense, organizational style and content style can be hard to identify because they are not easy to quantify. Style is hard to define because of its subjective nature. For example, Ive been known to write that the video game market is the greatest in the world because I have lots of friends who played the games I like.

When you think about a website, you think about content, but some sites are more about content than others. When you think about building a new website, you think about organization, but some sites are more about organization than others. When you think about content and organization, you are thinking about style, but some sites are more about style than others.

In other words, when you begin a website, what you want to do is focus on content. Content is important, but it’s not the only thing you need to focus on. Organization is important, but it’s not the only thing you need to focus on. Style is important, but it’s not the only thing you need to focus on. Tone is important, but it’s not the only thing you need to focus on.

Of course you want to focus on content. But you also need to focus on organization and style. Content and organization can be a lot easier to talk about than tone and style. For example, if you just start a website with a single paragraph and a couple of pictures, it probably won’t have that much of an impact on your rankings. But as your site grows in readership, the impact will start to affect how you rank. The same is true for style.
